FIREWORKS FOR GOOD WORKS
As the American tradition approaches for the July 4th birthday celebration of the United States, Issaquah Christian Church will once again have the fireworks stand located on the church property at 10328 Issaquah- Hobart Rd. SE. All the proceeds from the sale of the fireworks will support house-building in Mexico, other ICC outreach church programs and the new facility construction program. Each year, a team of youth and adults travel to one of the poorest areas in Mexico to build houses. These houses, completed in one week, are given to those in need at no cost with no strings attached. These annual trips have impacted both those building the homes and those that receive them. This year's team is comprised of 35 people. A sample home, very similar to the houses built near Tijuana, will be on display at ICC during the 7 days of fireworks fundraising. A huge tent will be well stocked with safe and sane TNT fireworks. Items like sparklers and fountains along with a various assortment of fireworks will be on display. Although not legal in the City of Issaquah, and other cities in the region, these fireworks may be enjoyed throughout unincorporated King County. The Grand Opening for fireworks sales will be Monday, June 28th, noon to 11:00pm. Hours of operation are 9am to 11pm everyday through Sunday, July 4th. ICC is located just one and a half miles south of the City of Issaquah. Call 425 392 5848 for more information.
