The annual Christmas Tree Lot at Issaquah Christian Church (ICC) gets underway at noon, on Friday, November 27th. The lot is located on church property at 10328 Issaquah-Hobart Rd SE, just one and a half miles south of the city. 100% of the proceeds from sales support missions, including Mexico homebuilding. Each June, a youth team travels to Mexico to build homes at no cost to those in need. Over 20 homes and a church were built near Tijuana in 2009. A model Mexico house has been constructed on the ICC property and everyone is encouraged to tour this home. The Mexico homes measure 11' X 22' in size. These annual trips are life changing for both the teens and the adult leaders traveling there, as well as for those that receive the homes. All the trees are fresh cut and locally grown. Sizes vary from 2 to 18 feet in height. Noble, Douglas, Fraser and Grand firs. New varieties for 2009 include Nordmann Fir, Canaan Fir, White Pine and Norway Spruce. Also wearths, swags, crosses and noble fir garlands, tree stands and a variety of Heavenly ornaments. Hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee and cookie treats will be served along with ongoing Christmas songs to get one and all in the mood for the Christmas season starting in the foothills of Issaquah. Hours of operation are 10am to 9pm, Mon-Fri; 9am-9pm Sat/Sun., November 27th through December 24th. Additional information: 425 392 5848 or visit the website at: www.iccweb.org
