I’M A PAL began almost 20 years ago in Seattle, Washington, with a focus on Hamm Creek, a tributary of the Duwamish River. Over the years the area of focus has grown enormously to cover the entire watershed and beyond, with members nation wide.
I’M A PAL now has 17 project sites. We have planted thousands of trees, native plants and flowers, restocked streams with thousands of wild salmon. We have successfully rehabilitated hundreds of injured and abandoned animals through our wildlife rehab facility.
I’M A PAL has several education
programs in class and out of doors working with elementary – college age
students, as well as "at risk" youth and boys and girls clubs, international
volunteer students.
I’M A PAL monitors water quality, air quality, wildlife, microorganisms, salmon and other aquatic life.
I’M A PAL has educational tours aboard "Pal Craft" on the water, and "Light Hawk" in the air.
I’M A PAL has a quarterly newsletter distributed to 2,000.
